This guitar was produced during the first year of production for the Heritage Guitar company (1985).

A few guitars with serial numbers starting with the letter "A" were produced prior to their incorporation.

The H140CM guitars used hand picked Michigan curly maple wood.

Heritage guitars are all hand made by some of the best luthiers in the business.

After Gibson abandoned many of its workers in the 1984 move from Kalamazoo, Michigan to Nashville, Tennessee, a number of the original craftsmen stayed right in the same building at 225 Parsons Street making guitars. Those guitars, known as Heritage, are all hand made and some of the best in the business.

If I was shopping for a new guitar, I would likely consider a new Heritage before a new Gibson due to the workmanship and attention to detail. The guitars Heritage offers are gorgeous to look at and amazing to play.

They do not do much advertising... most of their clientele is via word-of-mouth.
