1997 GIBSON EDS-1275 DOUBLENECK GUITAR
SN: 90917449
The Gibson EDS-1275 double-neck guitar features two guitars in one, one 6-string and one 12-string. Available in a cheaper cherry-wood configuration, this is the more expensive model. Bearing the custom white finish and gold hardware, it really stands out in a crowd, commanding "All eyes here." Each guitar is handmade at the Gibson's Nashville facility (too bad they dumped their 225 Parsons Street facility in Kalamazoo.
There are many double neck guitars
out there... but nothing beats the original grand-daddy Gibson
EDS-1275.
This is the one everyone copies.
It is great as a special-in to enhance certain songs or events.
The case itself is a real work of art. Large, heavy, well-padded.
I have added the ROLAND GK-2A
pickup to my EDS-1275.
Since it is a special effects guitar, it seemed like a reasonable guitar to
attach it to. It has worked out very nicely.
This Roland GK-2A pickup on the EDS-1275 runs into a
synthesizer, such as a Roland
GR-30.
With the Roland GR-30 (or a
GR-33) you can balance guitar with other sounds such as orchestra,
brass, organ, piano, chimes, choirs, and more.
